Reno, NV — Eaton Dunkelberger has been named President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada. He brings a track record of successful fundraising experience and deep local engagement from his decade as CEO of Sierra Nevada Journeys, the outdoor science education organization serving youth from diverse backgrounds throughout Northern Nevada and Northern California.

During his tenure, Dunkelberger led Sierra Nevada Journeys to sustained, dynamic growth, including the successful completion of a $5.5 million capital campaign for its 515-acre Overnight Outdoor Learning facility at Grizzly Creek Ranch in Portola, California.

As President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada, Dunkelberger will broaden the base of charitable giving in Northern Nevada to improve the quality of life in the greater Reno area and strive for measurable community improvement through grantmaking in community development, education, health, social services, and other areas of community need.

The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada strengthens the community through philanthropy and leadership by connecting people who care with causes that matter. The Community Foundation assets consist of invested donor advised funds, scholarships, designated and legacy funds, and the Community Endowment.
