Chicago, IL – Human services leader Cinaiya Stubbs has been selected as President & Chief Executive Officer of Children’s Place Association, an agency that provides critical assistance to children and their families in health, education, and family and financial stability.

Throughout her career, Stubbs’ work has been rooted in service to youth and families living in some of Chicago’s most underserved communities. Most recently, she was Executive Director of Chicago Youth Programs, which annually provides 1200 youth from 500 families living in 25 of Chicago’s wards with programs that support their long-term achievement. Among her many accomplishments, she increased operating revenue by over 100 percent and cultivated the largest philanthropic gifts in the agency’s history.

Previously she was Director of Community Partnerships for Communities in Schools where she was responsible for cultivating local partnerships addressing service delivery gaps in Chicago Public Schools. Prior to that, she served as Director of Programs & Partnerships for the Illinois Education Foundation (now One Million Degrees), building supportive pathways for nontraditional community college students and increasing student participation by 30 percent in three months. She has also served Chicago’s Circle Rock Preparatory School and Youth Guidance in Chicago.

In addition to serving those with health-related challenges, Children’s Place Association is dedicated to helping the city’s most vulnerable children and families break cycles of poverty, while maximizing its impact on a child’s future and empowering them to become successful adults. Today the organization serves more than 350 Chicago-area children and caregivers each year and continues its commitment to those affected by serious illness.
