Kittleman is expanding its office to meet the increased demand for nonprofit executive leadership in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. Our office is excited to bring on our newest Denver-based Principal, Erin McLain. McLain brings 25 years of sector-based expertise with a focus on leading organizations through critical periods of transition, growth, and senior leadership searches.
“We are excited to have a leader of Erin’s caliber join our team in Denver. Erin’s wealth of nonprofit leadership expertise combined with her extensive experience in managing organizations through CEO transitions will strengthen our ability to support Boards during this very dynamic time in the sector,” states Cory King, Kittleman President & CEO.
“As our client base across the mountain west continues to expand, Erin will be key to deepening our effort to support the nonprofit community.”
Before joining Kittleman, McLain led a distinguished career as an organizational transition specialist. She served as an Interim Executive Director for over 20 organizations, where she oversaw operations and collaborated with boards and search committees to secure elite permanent talent. Her regional leadership expertise includes engagements with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association, and Denver Tennis Park.
“After partnering with Kittleman on a CEO search and then seeing how other search firms handle the process, there was simply no comparison. They are best-in-class. Joining the firm as a Principal is an incredible opportunity — it aligns my passion for nonprofit work, leadership development, and making a difference in my community.”
Amid changing federal funding for nonprofits, our priority remains offering customized executive search and consulting for Rocky Mountain nonprofits. McLain’s addition deepens our regional presence and broadens access to top executive talent.
“Kittleman has been supporting clients in the Mountain West for over 20 years, and we have seen many changes in different communities during that time. We know the need is growing and we are excited to increase our presence in such a rich and dynamic region,” states King.
Additionally, Kittleman is currently recruiting a Denver-based Senior Associate/Executive Administrator to provide search support. This role will be hybrid with a preference for residency in Denver. With these initiatives, our Denver office will become a center for nonprofit leadership and expertise in the region.
