Now known as the Legal Council for Health Justice, its legal team has been at the forefront of shaping, expanding and defending against discrimination in every major healthcare program in Illinois, in Chicago Public Schools, and in access to jobs, providing thousands of Chicago’s adults and children with access to health coverage, economic security and upward mobility.

Legal Council for Health Justice provides individual legal representation, outreach and education, and advocacy. It serves many communities, including individuals living with HIV/AIDS, children and families with disabilities and chronic illness, older adults, and individuals who are homeless.
