Kenny Martín-Ocasio is a nonprofit executive consultant with more than 37 years of leadership experience in the areas of health and human services. Kenny has dedicated his career to working towards the professional, social, economic and educational advancement of minorities, especially Latinos and the LGBTQ+ community. Kenny was born in Brooklyn, NY, and was raised in Puerto Rico. He came to Chicago at age 18 to pursue his higher education and received his Bachelor of Arts, Special Education degree from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Saint Francis.
Kenny’s last professional employment was at Aunt Martha’s Health & Wellness, where he served as Chief Professional Development & Marketing Officer, Executive Vice President of Community Wellness and as Senior Vice President of Community Integration. Previously, Kenny served for nearly 7 years as Executive Director/CEO at Youth Service Project, Inc. in Chicago.
Kenny’s civic engagement includes serving as vice president of the DuPage Hispanic Task Force, co-chair of the Latino Consortium, member of the Illinois Latino Agenda, the Latino Youth Action Coalition, the DCFS Latino Advisory Council and the Cook County President’s Latino Advisory. For over eleven years Kenny served as a board member of the Association of Latinos(as) Motivating Action (ALMA), fighting for the equal rights of the Latinx LGBT community, and remains to this day as a volunteer.
Kenny holds certification as an Interim CEO and as Professional Life Coach. He currently serves as a member of the Governor’s Hispanic Employment Plan Advisory Council.
