Serina Gaston

Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County · Chalfont, PA

Nonprofit and public health leader Serina Gaston has been selected as Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building affordable housing, empowering families through homeownership, and strengthening communities throughout Bucks County. Gaston brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in nonprofit management, strategic planning, financial oversight, grant administration, fundraising, and community engagement.

Gaston joins Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County from Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area, where she served as Executive Director since 2021. In that role, she was responsible for overseeing all affiliate operations, including strategic planning, budgeting, board relations, staff management, donor engagement, grant acquisition, and financial stewardship. She worked closely with community partners and organizational leaders to strengthen operational effectiveness, expand funding opportunities, and advance the affiliate’s mission of providing affordable housing solutions to local families.

Previously, Gaston served as Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Nutrition Education Network, where she managed a $2 million budget and helped expand statewide programming through partnerships with food banks, community organizations, and health agencies. Prior to that, she was Director of Strategic Planning and Corporate Compliance for the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers, leading strategic initiatives, compliance efforts, fundraising activities, and member engagement programs. She also spent more than a decade in leadership roles with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, directing statewide public health, nutrition, physical activity, and health equity initiatives.

In addition to her executive leadership experience, Gaston serves as an instructor of Grant Writing at Temple University. She holds a Master of Education in Health Education from Pennsylvania State University, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from West Chester University and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
