Raéann Bacchus

Child welfare and human services executive Raéann Bacchus has been selected as President & Chief Executive Officer of Kids In Distress Family Central, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse, strengthening families, advancing early childhood education, and helping children and families achieve safety, stability, and well-being.
Bacchus brings more than 21 years of leadership experience spanning child welfare, behavioral health, public assistance, and healthcare services. Throughout her distinguished career, she has led complex organizations, managed large-scale budgets, and championed innovative programs focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Most recently, Bacchus served as Child Health Lead Director for CVS Health. In her role, she led cross-functional initiatives to improve provider and patient satisfaction, expanded access to care for vulnerable populations, and developed a national strategy for child health services within the organization.
Prior to CVS Health, Bacchus served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Florida Department of Children and Families, directing statewide public assistance programs with a $4.4 billion operating budget and overseeing a workforce of more than 4,500 employees. Earlier, as Regional Managing Director, she led family safety, substance abuse and mental health, and economic self-sufficiency programs serving Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Her career also includes executive leadership roles with Embrace Families and Kids Central Inc., where she strengthened prevention, foster care, family support, and community-based services for children and caregivers.
Bacchus holds a Master of Science in Justice Studies from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. She has also served on the boards of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust and The Children’s Trust, reflecting her longstanding commitment to strengthening communities and improving outcomes for children and families.
