Oliver Inteeworn

Oliver Inteeworn has been selected as the new Executive Director of Newport Classical, a premier performing arts organization that welcomes people of every age, culture, and background to intimate, immersive musical experiences in storied venues across Newport. Oliver brings 25 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit performing arts sector.
Oliver comes to Newport Classical from the American Symphony Orchestra (ASO) in New York City, where he served as Executive Director from 2018 to 2025. During his tenure, the ASO presented more than 40 additional free orchestra and chamber concerts across New York City venues since 2020. He also launched ASO Online, a free global streaming platform for performances.
Prior to leading the ASO, Oliver served as its general manager from 2007 to 2018 and was the founding managing director of The Orchestra Now at Bard College. He holds degrees from the University of Music Saarbrücken in Germany and Columbia University.
As Executive Director of Newport Classical, Oliver will lead implementation of the organization’s 2025-2028 strategic plan, which focuses on expanding national and global recognition, engaging the Newport community, generating new revenue streams and maintaining organizational health.
