Monique Ellsworth
President & CEO, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin
Accomplished nonprofit leader Monique Ellsworth has been selected as President & CEO of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, a leading regional food bank dedicated to ending hunger and improving food security. Ellsworth brings more than a decade of executive leadership experience in nonprofit management, food banking, and community-based human services.
Ellsworth joins Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin from Second Harvest of the Big Bend in Tallahassee, Florida, where she has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2019. During her tenure, she led the organization through a period of transformational growth, including a significant expansion of distribution capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic to meet unprecedented demand. She also successfully completed a capital campaign and oversaw the expansion of services into five additional counties, strengthening regional infrastructure and long-term sustainability. Under her leadership, the organization enhanced partnerships with state and federal agencies while advancing innovative strategies to improve equitable access to nutritious food.
Previously, Ellsworth served as Chief Executive Officer of CESC, Inc. (formerly Renaissance Community Center), where she oversaw multiple programs addressing homelessness, housing, and healthcare needs. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles focused on service delivery, program development, and community engagement, building a strong foundation in cross-sector collaboration and mission-driven impact.
Beyond her professional work, Ellsworth is an active community leader who has engaged with boards, public officials, and regional partners to advance solutions addressing poverty and food insecurity. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to strengthening communities and building resilient, equitable food systems.
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is a regional food bank dedicated to solving hunger across 35 counties in eastern Wisconsin. Through a network of partner agencies, the organization distributes millions of pounds of food annually to individuals and families in need. As a member of the Feeding America network, it works to advance equitable access to nutritious food and strengthen communities across the region.
