Carlos Gonzalez-Jaime

Accomplished cultural leader and nonprofit executive Carlos Gonzalez-Jaime has been named Executive Director of SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity (MOSAC). He brings a unique combination of museum leadership, strategic planning, fundraising, and operational expertise developed across the nonprofit, cultural, and corporate sectors.
Most recently, Carlos served as Founding Executive Director of Transform 1012 in Fort Worth, Texas, where he led the growth of the organization into a $7 million institution and secured significant philanthropic investment in support of a nationally recognized cultural initiative focused on community engagement and civic impact. He also helped launch a $70 million capital campaign and guided the development of a major cultural campus project.
Earlier in his career, Carlos founded the Latino Arts Project and served as an independent cultural strategy consultant, advising museums, cultural institutions, and government agencies throughout the United States and Mexico. His work included supporting fundraising, governance, sustainability planning, educational programming, and institutional transformation initiatives for leading cultural organizations. Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, he spent more than a decade in senior leadership roles with Hewlett-Packard, overseeing operations, business development, and regional strategy across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Carlos holds a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey. As Executive Director, he will lead MOSAC's efforts to inspire curiosity and learning through engaging science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics experiences for the Sacramento region and beyond.
