Todd Jacobs: President/CEO
Philanthropy executive Todd Jacobs has been appointed President/CEO of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County (CFMC), a foundation that awards grants and scholarships benefitting students, youth, education, the arts, community development, the environment, health and human services, and emerging community needs.
Jacobs, a Muskegon native, has served West Michigan communities throughout his 28-year career in both grantmaking and fundraising. He joins CFMC after serving as Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer for the Fremont Area Community Foundation. In this role, he expanded outreach, developed new giving opportunities, and launched key initiatives including Kickstart to Career, a children’s savings program, and the Newaygo County Business Resource Network. Previously, Jacobs was Director of Planned Giving for Ferris State University, Executive Director of the Holland Hospital Foundation, and Development Officer at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon. He received an MBA from Western Michigan University and a BS from Aquinas College.
Jacobs has a named fund at the Community Foundation for Muskegon County and is a member of its Ambassador Society. He will assume his responsibilities as President/CEO of CFMC on January 2, 2019.
The Community Foundation for Muskegon County collaborates with donors, grantees, advisors and individuals to identify issues that are important to its communities. CFMC has supported projects such as the Boys & Girls Club of the Muskegon Lakeshore, Muskegon Farmers Market, Muskegon Covenant Academy, Muskegon Downtown Redevelopment, Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts, the Muskegon Promise and HEALTHY Muskegon.
