Tami S. Silverman: President & CEO

Indianapolis, IN – The Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) has named Tami Silverman as its President & CEO.

When taking the helm of IYI on April 4, Ms. Silverman will be leading an organization which promotes the healthy development of Indiana children and youth by serving the people, institutions, and communities that impact their well-being.

Ms. Silverman has served as the CEO and executive director for Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity, Inc. in Indianapolis since January 2013. Prior to that, she spent 14 years as CEO for Sojourn Shelter & Services, Inc. in Springfield, Illinois, a public health services agency focused on domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse victims.

Among Ms. Silverman’s honors, appointments and professional affiliations are service on the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault. She previously served on the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services Juvenile Justice Task Force, was a member of Illinois Women in Leadership, and is a member of Indiana University’s Society of Aeons. In addition, Tami was recognized with the Outstanding Business Ethics Award by the mayor of Springfield, Illinois and was named to the “Forty Under 40” by the Springfield Business Journal.

Tami is a native of Indiana and a graduate of the IU Kelley School of Business. She earned a master’s degree. Silverman and her husband have two children and live in Zionsville.
