Sarah Wodder: President and CEO

Dr. Sarah Wodder

Scranton, PA – Behavioral health leader Sarah Wodder, Psy.D., has been appointed President and CEO of Scranton Counseling Center, a community based, nonprofit behavioral health organization. She brings significant experience in outpatient and residential services, staff training and quality improvement to this role.

Dr. Wodder most recently served as an Executive Director of Edison Court, Inc., a child and adolescent residential and outpatient treatment facility for those with behavioral health issues. Previously she was Director of Outpatient Services at Ravenhill Psychological Services of Edison Court and at Bucks County Corrections Center.

Scranton Counseling Center (SCC) is a community based, private nonprofit behavioral health provider serving children, adolescents, adults and families with mental health and substance abuse issues in Lackawanna Susquehanna and surrounding counties. SCC is Northeast Pennsylvania’s largest integrated provider with over seven decades of quality accessible services for those in need.

Through a number of specific liaison programs, SCC staff works in conjunction with human service agencies, the Courts, schools, and other groups with the intention of addressing behavioral health substance use disorder issues and promoting a greater community awareness of available behavioral healthcare programs and related services. Harrison House, a 54-bed licensed Personal Care Home, primarily serves adults who have serious and persistent mental health issues. Owned and operated by SCC, this program was established to provide a safe, homelike environment for individuals with chronic psychiatric issues.
