Samantha Handley: President and CEO
CHICAGO, IL - Samantha Handley has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare, a leader in the delivery of mental health services for over 2,500 clients throughout Chicago.
For the past 11 years, Handley has served Trilogy in a variety of leadership roles where she was responsible for developing and incorporating the organization’s H.E.A.R.T. and Compassion Values Statement into all aspects of Trilogy’s operations and decision-making. She was also instrumental in the successful implementation of several clinical and administrative programs, including new employee and manager orientation, Trilogy’s award-winning Supported Employment Program, The Beacon Drop-in Center, and its one-of-a-kind Occupational Therapy program.
Handley is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Supervisor Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She also served in a variety of clinical supervisory roles in both inpatient and outpatient settings at other organizations in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Cleveland for 10 years prior to joining Trilogy.
Founded in 1971 to address a scarcity of mental health resources on Chicago's Northside, Trilogy began as a neighborhood organization providing vocational rehabilitation to individuals discharged from state-operated facilities and placed in nursing homes. Today, the organization works with thousands from the throughout the metropolitan area towards long-term recovery from mental illness and mental illness with co-occurring substance use disorders to maximize individuals’ independence, self-sufficiency, and quality of life.
