Richard Glover: VP of Communications and Marketing

HOUSTON, TX - Veteran communications and marketing executive Richard Glover has been named Vice President of Communications and Marketing for Space Center Houston.

Most recently, Glover was Vice President of Marketing, Communications and External Affairs for The Florida Aquarium. As a member of the senior leadership team, he was responsible for the aquarium’s marketing, communications, government affairs, community affairs, and tourism, zoo and aquarium industry relations. Previously, he was Chief Marketing Officer of the Texas State Aquarium, where he oversaw the aquarium’s marketing, communications, and group and private event sales, as well as playing a key role in the development and implementation of a $50 million capital campaign.

In 2016/17, Glover was among 10 rising leaders selected to participate in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Executive Leadership Development Program. Prior to his leadership positions at cultural attractions focused on science, he had a 20-year career in the horse racing industry in communications and marketing. Glover received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. He assumed his responsibilities as Vice President of Communications and Marketing at Space Center Houston on November 12, 2018.
