Richard Ducatenzeiler: Executive Director
Chicago, IL – Richard Ducatenzeiler, a human services and housing development leader committed to serving Chicago’s most vulnerable residents and making an impact toward ending homelessness in Chicago, has joined Franciscan Outreach as Executive Director. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of Northside Housing and Supportive Services, which provides men and women experiencing homelessness with housing and comprehensive supportive services. Previously, he was Director of Administration at Chicago Cares and Director of Administration and Supportive Services at Inner Voice.
Ducatenzeiler, who has also served as a board member of the Chicago Continuum of Care, an organization that works to prevent and end homelessness in Chicago, worked on the creation of the city’s original Plan to End Homelessness in 2002 and in 2012, and he assisted in the development of Chicago’s Plan 2.0, an action plan to help improve access to housing and services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Franciscan Outreach is a leading provider of services for people experiencing homelessness in Chicago. Throughout the year, it serves more than 7,600 men and women who are marginalized and homeless. Each day, Franciscan Outreach provides safe shelter, healthy meals and critical services to empower people to gain the stability they need to transition into permanent housing.
