Renita White: CEO
Chicago, IL – Human services leader Renita White, MA, LSW, has joined The Boulevard as Chief Executive Officer. In this role, she will be responsible for ensuring delivery of the highest quality in medical respite care to homeless populations throughout the city of Chicago.
Deeply rooted in mission, White has focused on the delivery of high-quality programs throughout her career, leading many of them to significant expansion and national recognition while bringing life-changing economic resources to at-risk populations.
Most recently, White served as Senior Vice President of Housing, Workforce Development, and Special Projects for UCAN Chicago, which offers programs focused on healing trauma, building strong families, educating youth, and preventing violence. Previous roles she has held include Director of Quality Assurance at The Children’s Place Association and Director of Independent/Transitional Living and Homeless Programs for the Jane Addams/Hull House Association.
During her career, White has also served on special task force committees and initiatives with All Chicago, the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services , the Chicago Housing Authority, and the Mission Sustainability Initiative through Forefront.
The Boulevard is a medical respite facility that has provided medical care and supervision for over ten thousand ill and injured homeless adults. It helps residents break the cycle of homelessness, restore their health, and rebuild their lives. Other programs include behavioral health services, coaching for self-sufficiency, employment assistance, and a pathway to permanent supportive housing.
