Neal Couture: Executive Director
Columbus, OH – Association executive Neal Couture (CAE-ASAE) has been named Executive Director of The American Society for Nondestructive Testing, Inc. (ASNT), the world's largest technical society for nondestructive testing (NDT) professionals.
Couture brings strong expertise in association management, having served as Executive Director of the National Contract Management Association, the preeminent association for Federal government contracting, where he led the association through a highly successful turnaround, restructuring every aspect of the organization. His many accomplishments include creation of the association’s first online education programs, virtual chapters and virtual memberships; development of new revenue-generating programs; growing membership through improved member engagement and outreach to new professionals and students; and implementation of new budgeting and financial management systems.
Couture’s career has spanned higher education, professional societies, and management positions in the aerospace and defense industries. Most recently, he was Associate Dean for Finance and Administration at Boston College, where he served as the chief financial and operations officer for the Woods College of Advancing Studies.
Through its organization and membership, the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, Inc. (ASNT) provides a forum for exchange of nondestructive testing (NDT) technical information; NDT educational materials and programs; and standards and services for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel. ASNT promotes the discipline of NDT as a profession and facilitates NDT research and technology applications.
