Lisa Diekmann: President & CEO

Bozeman, MT –Philanthropy leader Lisa Diekmann has been appointed as President & CEO of Yellowstone Forever (YF).

A long-time Bozeman resident, Diekmann was the first Executive Director of the former Yellowstone Park Foundation (YPF), one of the predecessor organizations of YF. During her tenure with YPF, the organization raised more than $30 million. While with YPF, she worked closely with the Yellowstone Association and Institute and is familiar with the history and importance of these organizations to Yellowstone National Park and the visitor experience.

Diekmann is Board Chair of Mountain Journal and most recently served as Director of Development for the Bridger Ski Foundation and Regional Director of Development for The Wilderness Society. Earlier in her career, she was a financial analyst for Goldman Sachs and the Director of Development for the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.

Diekmann’s plans include a 2021 reopening of the Yellowstone Institute, which was suspended in June 2020, and enhancing relationships with YF partners and supporters.

As the park’s official nonprofit partner, Yellowstone Forever helps fund priority projects in Yellowstone. Yellowstone Forever partners with Yellowstone National Park to create opportunities for all people to experience, enhance, and preserve Yellowstone forever.
