Garth Jordan: CEO
Lakewood, CO – American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) has announced Garth Jordan as the Association’s next Chief Executive Officer.
Most recently, Jordan served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), which has a membership of more than 56,0000 healthcare finance leaders and professionals. He spearheaded an initiative to make HFMA the “Netflix of associations” by designing and executing a digital transformation of its business model. As a result, HFMA’s retention rates increased more than 5% and new member acquisition increased more than 20%.
Earlier in his career, Jordan served as the Chief Operating and Financial Officer at Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and prior to that as Chief Operating Officer at EDUCAUSE, where he worked to create an education nonprofit called NextGenLearning, built to improve student success by funding and scaling new models of teaching and learning.
In his earliest association experience at Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), he served as Vice President of Membership, Sales and Marketing, growing membership after a five-year annual decline of -3% to an increase of 4.1% annually.
His hopes for AAHA include streamlining the membership process and offering robust personalized content, including relevant learning opportunities, community engagement, and solutions to problems for members to provide the highest quality care to pets and their people.
