Brian McKee: Chief Executive Officer

UTICA, NY – Child and family services leader Brian McKee has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of The House of the Good Shepherd, a regional provider of treatment services for traumatized children and families.

For over 15 years, McKee has dedicated his career in human services leadership to improving programs and services in Central New York for children and families in need. He comes to The House of the Good Shepherd from Liberty Resources, which provides individualized community-based services for nearly 15,000 individuals and families. As Vice President of Integrated Care Management, he expanded the Health Home program in two years from a 6-person unit serving adults in Madison County to a thriving 40-person division serving 1200 children, adults and families across five Central and Western New York Counties, while achieving profitability during both fiscal years.

Prior to Liberty Resources, McKee served as Associate Executive Director of Program Operations at Elmcrest Children’s Center, a regionally-based provider of support and community-based programs for children, families and youth who have experienced trauma or have disabilities. Previously, McKee was Deputy Commissioner of the Children’s Division of Onondaga County Department of Social Services.

McKee received a Master’s in Social Work from Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from SUNY Cortland. He has been an adjunct faculty member at Syracuse University’s School of Social Work and currently serves as Board Designee of the Children’s Health Home of Upstate New York and is a Board Member of the Rural Health Network of Madison County.
