Brian Glowiak: Chief Executive Officer

FLINT, MI –Public affairs executive Brian G. Glowiak has joined Metro Community Development as Chief Executive Officer. He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in government relations, foundation management, and public advocacy to this role and a deep appreciation for the unique challenges and opportunities in Flint, Genesee, and surrounding communities.

Most recently, Glowiak served as Vice President of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Education Foundation where he developed an innovative vocational training program linking local manufacturers with school districts to allow students to gain competencies and certifications that will enable them to excel in advanced manufacturing careers. Previously, Glowiak worked for Chrysler Corporation, DaimlerChrysler and FCA for more than three decades in various executive capacities.

For 13 years, he was Vice President of The Chrysler Foundation, transforming it into a leading corporate philanthropic force in Southeast Michigan. Under his leadership, the Foundation directed more than $220 million in charitable awards and corporate sponsorships to local, national and international nonprofits.

Metro Community Development (MCD) serves as a leader and catalyst to expand and enhance quality housing and community development initiatives for underserved people and communities. MCD develops partnerships in Flint and Genesee County, including providing financial support, leading to the creation of stable and vibrant neighborhoods and communities.
