Ann Ayers: Chief Executive Officer

Denver, CO — Raise the Future, an agency providing wraparound services that reduce the time youth in foster care live without an adult connection, has appointed Ann Ayers as Chief Executive Officer.
Ayers has spent over 20 years reimagining the possibilities available to organizations in the legal, corporate, nonprofit and academic arenas. Most recently, she was Dean of Colorado Women’s College at the University of Denver where she led a series of initiatives creating more equity to fuel the education and success of women.
Previously, she provided consulting services for the San Francisco Opera, Denver Art Museum, and the Boettcher Foundation, among others, as a Senior Strategist for Mission Minded, and has also served as Development Director of the Colorado Children’s Campaign. Earlier in her career, she was an attorney at the global law firm of Hogan Lovells.
Ayers is a recipient of both the Robert F. Kennedy Award for Public Service and the Sally McDonald Medal for Extraordinary Service and is a Board member of the Arthur and Helen E. Johnson Depression Center at the University of Colorado. Known for her commitment to meaningful causes, she founded Timothy’s Fund, a foundation for research of rare childhood diseases.
Raise the Future increases the likelihood of forming and sustaining positive connections that help transform children’s futures. From connecting youth with stable relationships to strengthening families impacted by trauma, Raise the Future is bringing a brighter future in reach for youth and families for generations to come. It serves more than 1,500 youth from seven states, and about 10,000 families and professionals across the country every year.
