Andrea Farmer: Chief Communications Officer

Indianapolis, IN — Integrated marketing and communications leader Andrea Farmer has joined the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation as Chief Communications Officer. In this role, she will work closely with the Foundation’s President & CEO and the Program team to develop and implement communications strategies that articulate the Foundation’s mission and work to stakeholders and other external audiences.
Prior to joining the Foundation, she served as Director of External Engagement and Government Affairs at Indiana Donor Network, where she oversaw multiple functions including marketing communications, community outreach, government affairs and legal affairs. Other previous roles include Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications and Account Services at Indianapolis marketing communications agency Hirons, and Associate Director of Strategic Initiatives at the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).
For over 35 years, the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation has provided important funding for critical issues affecting Indianapolis. It strives to advance the vitality of Indianapolis and the well-being of its people by addressing the city’s most significant challenges and opportunities across three focus areas: Education, Health and the Vitality of Indianapolis. To advance its work, the Foundation implements a three-pronged approach: strategic grantmaking, evidence-based advocacy and cross-sector collaboration and convening.
