Alicia King: Executive Director of Development
Pittsburgh, PA – Development professional Alicia King has been named Executive Director of Development for UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. She brings to this role a substantial background in philanthropy including major gifts and capital campaigns.
Most recently, King was Senior Associate Vice President for Development at the University of Texas Rio Grand Valley (UTRGV). In this role, she managed a comprehensive fundraising program, providing leadership and direction to a team responsible for raising over $89 million. Previously, King was a Major Gifts Officer for UTRGV legacy institution, the University of Texas-Pan American, where she led efforts for its new Academic and Performing Arts Complex, including strategic planning, prospect identification, and marketing surrounding the campaign.
Prior to joining the University of Texas System, King served as Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alabama where the college exceeded capital campaign goals by double digits. In her previous position at the University of Alabama as Director of Annual Giving, she was responsible for the growth and management of 15 annual funds.
